Dharamsala, Jan 14: The Prime Minister of Tibet’s Government in exile Samdhong Rinpoche has said Tibetans in Tibet need not worry about His Holiness the Dalai Lama's retirement plan as he would continue to work for the cause of Tibet, a report on the government's official website said Friday.

NEW DELHI: According to Times of India on 14, 2011, China's policy of issuing stapled visas to Indian citizens keeps India off-balance. While China had been issuing stapled visas for residents of Jammu & Kashmir, its recent decision to issue similar visas to people from Arunachal Pradesh is curious. 

Chinese embassy officials, when questioned, said the visas were "correct". On Thursday, defence minister A K Antony termed it "unacceptable". "Stapled Chinese visas are unacceptable to India. It has been conveyed to China. We will not accept it," he told journalists.

Dharamsala, January 13 – India has expressed its protest at China after two sportsmen from Arunachal Pradesh, which China claims as its territory, were issued stapled visa by the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi on January 4.

Indian weightlifter Sibi Yukar and his coach Abraham Kaya who is also the joint secretary of the Indian Weightlifting Federation were prevented by Indian Immigration officials at the Indira Gandhi International Airport Tuesday from boarding a flight to Beijing. The duo were to take part in the Chinese IWF Weightlifting Grand Prix, slated to take place at the Majiang Weightlifting Training Center, Fuzhou City, between January 15 and 17.

WASHINGTON: Mutual and global issues like human rights and currency would be on the agenda during an upcoming summit between President Barack Obama and his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao next week, the US has said as it seeks to smoothen its ties with this Asian giant.

Schutter, che ricopre la carica dal 2008 su designazione del Consiglio ONU per i Diritti Umani, ha redatto al suo rientro un dettagliato rapporto di sei pagine in cui, tra l’altro, invita le autorità cinesi a impegnarsi in approfondite consultazioni con le comunità dedite alla pastorizia per “valutare i risultati delle politiche agricole sia correnti sia passate”.
